After shave rashes or razor bumps are small bumps on the skin that develop after shaving. They don't only look like pimples which can completely spoil the attractive clean-shaven look, they can also be sore. Overtime, these minor shaving bumps can develop into permanent scar tissue. So u can use the following home remedies for your after shave rashes.
  1. Aloe vera: 
    Aloe vera is a very effective natural remedy for after shave rashes. Its simple! Just apply fresh gel of aloe vera on the affected area for at least twice a day. Repeat this for 3days and more for best results. It effectively treats the itchiness and inflammation due to razor bumps.
  2. Honey:
     Honey contains antibacterial properties and therefore, is very effective for curing after Shave rashes. Simply apply a layer of honey on the irritated skin. Let it dry for 10- 20minutes. Rinse off with cold water. Repeat this process twice a day for a week and say goodbye to your razor bumps.
  3. Black tea bags:
     
    In black tea like ndu tea, ndawara tea and others, you have tannic acid which decreases inflammation and redness of the skin. Moisten a black tea bag in hot water and put over the affected skin for 5- 10minutes. Repeat the process daily or twice a day for better results.
  4. Cornstarch: 
    This is one of those easy to use yet very effective remedies for removing shave bumps. All you need do is sprinkle some cornstarch on the bumps and then rinse it off with cold water after 20minutes.
  5. Distilled vinegar: 
    Pour some apple cider vinegar into a small cotton ball. Dab the affected area of the skin with it and allow it to air-dry. Then, wash off with water and repeat 2-3 times every day until the problem has cleared.
  6. Lemon juice: 
    Slice a lemon in half and squeeze its juice. Immerse a cotton ball or clean cloth in this juice. Pat it on the affected regions. Wash it off with warm water when it becomes dry. Use this remedy each time you shave.
  7. Baking soda:
     Mix one table spoon of baking soda and one cup of water. Dip a cotton ball in this solution and dab the affected skin with it. Wait for 10- 15minutes until it dries. Wash with cold water and repeat it twice or thrice a day.
  8. Cold compress:
     Probably the easiest method! Just take some ice cubes and wrap them in a towel, then gently pat the razor bumps with a towel for at least 10minutes. This procedure can help cure inflammation, itching, burning and redness that is caused by razor bumps.
  9. Hot compress: 
    Soak a face towel or wash cloth in hot water and apply it on your razor bumps for 10-15minutes. This is a good way to reduce swelling and kill bacteria that might enter the pores of your skin.
  10. Cucumber: 
    Cucumber is soothing, contains anti- inflammatory properties and is full of vitamins. Refrigerate a few slices and apply to get rid of razor bumps on the affected skin.
